Only six weeks to go to the Queensland Country Health Fund 2010 Bowen Triathlon which is to be held at
Queens Beach, Bowen on 16 & 17 October 2010. Please see attached flyer for event details.

On-Line entry for the Sprint and Short Course Triathlons, to be held on Sunday 17 October 2010, will be open
on Friday 03 September and can be accessed at http://www.snappaheads.com/bowentriathlon.htm

On-line entry for this event will close on 14 October 2010 after which paper entries will be accepted up until
1600 hours 16 October 2010 with a late fee of $10.00 applicable. No entries will be accepted on Race Day

As in past years we will be running a corporate team’s competition and the inter-triathlon club competition
incorporated in the Sprint Distance Triathlon.

Merchandise for the triathlon is being made to order, for those wishing to purchase a running singlet. These can
be ordered up until two weeks prior to the event as and when you enter. A limited number and small range of
sizes will be available for purchase on the day.  

Entry forms for the Kids Triathlon and 5Km Fun Run to be held on Saturday 16 October 2010 can be downloaded
from http://www.snappaheads.com/bowentriathlon.htm.

Completed entry forms for these events should be emailed to drinmore@bigpond.net.au  or faxed to 07 4778 8017
and can be paid in cash at registration on the day.  Entries for these two events will be accepted on the day.

The Bowen Cultural and Seafood Festival is being held in Bowen on the same days as the Triathlon so it is a great
opportunity to make a weekend of it. If you are looking for accommodation I would suggest that you phone Bowen Tourism
at Bowen Visitor Information Centre on 4786 4222.

Bowen offers a range of accommodation but it does book out quickly so it may be best to book early.
