25 June 2009 : Gold Coast World Championships - Change in Venue Layout

For up to date information on the 2009 Gold Coast ITU Triathlon World Championship check out the USM website regularly.  There has been some changes to the event venue layout which will result in a better event for everyone.

The heart of the event - the Festival Village - will now be located on teh northern side fo the finish line.  The Village will contain Athlete registration, Sport & Lifestyle expo, Hospitality areas as well as Food and Beverage facilities.  Age group transition will now be located just south of the finish line within the new $32 million redeveloped Southport Broadwater parklands.  The opening and closing athlete parties will now take place in the function precinct approximately 400m north of the Athlete Village.

These areas will now combine to provide an integrated, bustling, central triathlon haven that will feature a continuous schedule of racing, entertainment and action over the five day festival.
