The Triathlon Queensland Aquathlon Championships was a great success with 182 competitors taking the challenge and competing on Saturday morning. The youngest competitor was a 6 year old from Norman Park and the eldest Markus Hanley 76 from the Sunshine Coast TriathlonClub.Ashleigh Gentle (2x Silver medallist at Junior World Championships) placed 1st overall closely followedby Kym Jaenke (World Champion in W30-34 age category). The mens field was won by Reece Heald followed by Steve O'Brien.Mini Kids - 9 athletes | Sprint Aquathlon - 50 athletes | Full Aquathlon - 123 athletesMagic weather made the event even more enjoyable with athletes completing a course of Run/Swim/Run.
