Goondiwindi's 'Hell of the West'

Venue:
Goondiwindi

Course
The 2km SWIM consists of 1km upstream then 1km downstream return in the MacIntyre River (freshwater!!) starting and finishing at the Town boat ramp. The river has minimal current and long sleeved wetsuits are not recommended.

The 80km CYCLE leg is "dead flat", 40 km west out the Barwon Highway towards St George and return. The road surface is reasonable with some short sections that require care and attention. This stretch of road is renowned for its cross winds and disks are not recommended.

The 20km RUN consists of two 10km loops heading towards the western edge of town. Aid stations are placed every kilometre.
