TQ Triathlon Clinics and Skills Workshops

     

As part of our commitment to developing the sport of Triathlon in Queensland, we are increasing the number of Skills Workshops that are held across the season.

- Workshops are open to all Adults and Juniors over the age of 12 (as of December 2010)

- Catering for beginners to experienced athletes

- Run by Qualified and Experienced Triathlon Queensland Coaches

- Athletes grouped appropriately depending on experience and skills

- Planned and sequential curriculum provided so each Clinic will cover something different

Handling your Bike
Braking, Balancing and Cornering
Riding with Others
Time Trialling

        

Deep Water & Mass Swim Starts
Sighting and Navigation
Mounting and Dismounting the Bike
Run Transitions and Race Tactics

Locations:

Cairns - Smith Park Bellodrome, Keble Street, Manunda

Carina - Clem Jones Centre, Zahel Street

Hervey Bay - Hervey Bay Industrial Estate. Airport Drive (Bike Skills), Hervey Bay Aquatic Centre (Triathlon Skills)

Nerang - Nerang Cycle Centre, Hope Street

Nundah - Albert Bishop Park, Hedley Avenue

Runaway Bay - Sports Super Centre, Morala Avenue

Toowoomba - Glennie School - 246 Herries Street

Townsville - Reid Park, Boundary Street (Bike Skills), Riverway, Thuringowa Central (Triathlon Skills)


Equipment Required:

Athletes must have a roadworthy bike (with flat pedals or clip-ins) and an Australian approved helmet at each session.

Running shoes, goggles and a swim cap are also required for the Triathlon Clinics.

All attendees must also bring along a filled out and signed copy of this medical form (pdf) Please note that only one form is needed even if you are registering for more than one workshop.
